Adobe Captivate is an eLearning authoring tool that allows you to create interactive and engaging eLearning content, including games, simulations, quizzes, and more. One of the interactive features it offers is the “Drag and Drop” interaction, which allows you to create engaging activities and games where learners can drag and drop objects or elements on the screen.
- Open Adobe Captivate and create a new project or open an existing one.
- Add Slides: Create a new slide or select an existing slide where you want to add the drag and drop interaction.
- Insert Drag and Drop Interaction: Go to the “Interactions” menu. Choose “Drag and Drop. “You will be prompted to choose a template or create a custom interaction.
- Design the Interaction: In the drag-and-drop interaction editor, you can add draggable objects (items that learners will drag) and drop targets (areas where learners will drop the items).Customize the appearance and properties of the draggable items and drop targets. Define correct and incorrect drop locations and provide feedback for each.
- Set Actions and Variables: Define what happens when learners drop items into the correct or incorrect targets. You can use actions and variables to control the flow and scoring of the interaction.
- Customize Feedback: You can provide feedback to learners based on their interactions, such as showing correct/incorrect feedback messages or scoring.
- Preview and Test: Before publishing, it’s essential to preview and test your drag and drop interaction to ensure it works as intended.
- Publish the Project: Once you’re satisfied with your interactive drag and drop game, you can publish your Adobe Captivate project in the desired format, such as SCORM for integration with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or as a web-based course.
Please note that specific features and capabilities may vary depending on the version of Adobe Captivate you are using, so it’s a good idea to refer to the documentation or tutorials for your specific version for more detailed instructions.
